General: DAIIIIISHIIIII~~! XD Digimon season 02 amuses me to no end, especially because of Daisuke/Davis! I have never heard so many lame jokes in my life.. XD Anyways.. Very easy costume to put together with much experimentation with the jacket. The only part really "made" was the jacket; everything else was pretty much regular clothes and that was easily found in my closet. Don't know if I'll bother to upgrade this costume at all.. I don't think it's necessary in this case, as the whole outfit together gave off a great effect. =D

Jacket: It was long since decided that the flames would have to be made out of vinyl.. I thought it would really make the flames look cool and stand out (and it did ^_^), not to mention this was in the middle of my "vinyl phase". Yes, us crazies in iPLAY seem to go through fabric phases, but I won't go into that here. =) A standard cotton was chosen for the main dark blue part of the jacket and it served its purpose well, despite being a lighter fabric than would be normally expected for a jacket. To compensate for that, however, interfacing was integrated here and there inside the jacket. The dark blue contrasted wonderfully with the shiny vinyl, which was my entire purpose of choosing a flat fabric... and a white feather boa was handstitched onto the collar! A pattern was drawn for the flames, and the vinyl was cut out and attached by a minimal of handstitching, and even fewer touches hot glue here and there.. Hot glue was used very sparingly, due to the fact that it deformed the vinyl. I had the employ the use of tissue paper in the sewing of the sleeves to guide the vinyl in correctly. The jacket pattern I used had a huge armhole, and as a result, the flames on the sleeves don't reach up as high as they're supposed to. And that's all!

Group: XD We had been talking about doing Season 02 cosplay for sooo long... us and our helpless obsession with the show. XD I had a great time bugging Ten Ken (TK), and hitting on Kari.. and cracking dumb jokes whenever I could come up with any in my sleep and food-deprived state.. and our Animagic skit was a big landmark in our history! We actually didn't mess anything up this time.. and no dancing was involved! Huzzah! XD More on that in the skit section.. yay season 02!

General: TK is cool. I didn't think much of him in the first season, at least not until the second half, but second season he just rocks. Umm... well, I decided to do this costume on night, grabbed the fabric, and got it done in time for Condensed Milk number 1! Heh... it's really comfortable, even though I'm not used to being a little boy... and yes, I know I have another one in the works... well, I think it looks pretty cool! I just wish there were more people in iPLAY with 02 costumes right now, *nudge nudge*. Despite the fact that I so dread the Digimon fandom now, because its gotten way too absurd, I still like the show and still like TK. By the way, I had a great time at Condensed Milk, and I just wanted to let everyone I met there or said hi to or was just there and nice enough to say anything to me that I think you're all great! So if anyone bothers to go to this profile, thank you ever so much! *waves*

Shirt: I look like a horse jockey! The material I used is even shiny, so it looks even more like it! I wish I had used a more stretchy material, but I think I like how it turned out. I messed up the first time, it was too tight and the sleeves didn't fit quite right, so I redid it completely and it turned out great! Unfortunately this put me in a time crush, ugh... at least the colors are nice, sun shiney yellow and a cool blue green. I figured out a zipper in the back that you can't see, and I folded the collar down for comfort. Yay!

Shorts: Oooh... crushed velour... niiice... heh. These shorts rock, even if the grain, or whatever its called, is upside down. Boy, I've had more trouble with this than anything else I've done, it seems... surprising, but I guess I didn't leave much time since I thought I'd be doing this for Fanime instead. Other than that, they're the perfect color, nice and sea foamy green. They're really simple too, just a little elastic at the waist pull ons, no serious hemming, the easiest part of my outfit.

Hat: Whooaa... last minute job here. I didn't find a bowl hat in time, so I made one in five secs and pinned it to my head the day of the thing. Luckily it turned out well, but I plan to redo it for later. Same with the tag piece on my shirt, another last minute job. Someday, I will wear a bowl...

Cake: Why am I mentioning a cake? Well, I made it for Condensed Milk, and it matched my outfit, and my darling Yukito Dono helped me bake it!

General: Kari 02 was also a pretty easy costume until it came to making those gloves of hers. Argh!! That was some hard stuff! But I still love her because she has a hot hot brother whom I'd readily glomp on site. XD

Shirt: The pink part of the shirt was made out of microfiber suiting material (imagine a whole suit made out of that HOT pink material! =P) while the white portion of the shirt was made out of peachskin crepe. I also used an "invisible" zipper along the back of the shirt.

Gloves: I basically made the pattern for the gloves by expanding a tracing my hand. =D It actually works really well! The only thing that I didn't like about the gloves was that the holes on the hand portion of the glove wasn't centered right.

Shoes & Shorts: Both items were borrowed but I swear that I'll get my own pair of each someday!

Taichi Yagami (affectionately called "Tai Coat")
By Ha-chan

General: I saw my beloved Tai-sama wearing this coat during the later half of Digimon Season 02. I died at the manliness he displayed while strutting his stuff on screen while wearing the coat. Therefore, I had to make it in order to have a piece of Tai in my wardrobe!

THE COAT: The coat is made out of GODLY peachskin crepe (~which flows and flutters with every delicate touch of a gentle breeze~) and satin for the yellow details. I made the patterns for the coat from scratch even though I had no idea how to make a hood XD but I somehow managed to make a decent pattern for the whole coat. The coat actually consists of two coats put together in order to hide all of the stitching and raw edges of the fabric, which sadly...has passion for fraying. Juggling how to combine the two parts of the coat was interesting since I wanted to have a blue hem-type thing on the inside of the coat so that the inner white portion completely looked bonded to the main blue piece. *If you don't get what I'm trying to describe then come up to me when I'm wearing it and I'll show you! The paws were all heat n bonded to the fabric while the yellow stripes and pocket trimmings were sewn onto the main fabric. Finally, when I finished with it and ironed it down, I realized that the crepe does NOT wrinkle easily sooooo I had a huge long cuddle fest after it was complete (not that I didn't cuddle it while making of course har har >.>)

Tokomon (plushie) ["affectionally" called Fluffy]
By Ha-chan

General: Why did I make the cretinous Tokomon? Because he's soooo adorably evil of course! His debut at Ani-magic ROCKED! HAHAHAH!! I don't think that anything has been in contact with someone's crotch as much the Tokomon has XD He's burned for life and exiled to sleep at the foot of my bed. Have you been crotched by the Tokomon lately? ***points at viewer***

The Making: Fluffy is made out of HIGH quality velvet which makes him extra soft and plushy to touch. His little eyes, blushies and fangs are made out of felt. I had to sit and visualize the patterns for the Tokomon before attempting to put together is lifeless form. Trust me...sewing with velvet is hazardous for you health. I should have worn a mask while cutting Fluffy's flesh. Loose velvet fuzz flies around everywhere and lands in every place you can think of! O_O At first, I messed up BIG TIME sewing him since I had miscut the velvet patterns which I somehow managed to work around in order to salvage the expensive velvet. After the cutting and sewing nightmare was over, I had my thrill STUFFING the insides of Fluffy. MWAHAHAHA!! Fluffy's entrails are made up of Silky Soft stuffing, which is very smooth and delicate stuff! Finally, I was able to stitch the opening for the stuffing shut and I...cranked up the electricity and filled him with electric jolts and laughed manically and screamed...IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!! XD
