Rufus Shinra
By Ten Ken

General: Yes, I finally get to cross-dress at a con. That, and I get to go as one of the people I admire the most. *sigh* Rufus is sooo cool, and dreamy, and smart, and never-ever gets listened to! I'm sorry, but thats no way to run a company! Heh, I still love the guy 'cause he's a rich meglomaniac and head of a huge corporation. The costume is unbelievably comfortable too. I'm glad I got around having to cut my hair. You all know who the greatest person in the universe is, don't you?

Jacket: The key element to my costume, the jacket is a modified version of a man's dress jacket, and was surprisingly hard to make in part due to the fact that if you go to a cloth store you will find no patterns for guys stuff. Another thing about this jacket I love is the pockets, big enough to put stuff in. Dude, the black satin collar, the long white pleats, its so gorgeous. I just wanna wear it all the time. No wonder Rufus does, and not just because he looks so dang good in it!

Vest: Heh, okay this is where cutting corners is okay, if no one sees it, no one knows. Its a really lightly hemmed couple of pieces of cloth. I almost ran out at the end and actually had to buy the last few feet they had at the store to finish this piece. Still, not too bad! It completes the look nicely, oh yeah...

Pants: I love pants! Yes I do! Pants are good! So are you! Oh wait, no cheerleaders here... the pants are really baggy, and just fitted at the waist enough to stay on. I guess I like these too 'cause again there are pockets! I can hide things here! Yay! Heh, I love these pants, suit material is so nice, too bad its not the easiest to work with... *Mmmm... fleece is good*

Shoes: I just wanted to say, they are very comfortable... I say this because every other pair of shoes for all my other costumes are uncomfortable.

Group: *ahem* Do I even need to comment on my group? I mean, look at them? I don't even want to admit that I'm affiliated with them. I mean, Scarlet is a whore! A skanky witch! *shudder* I don't even want to know what she and Hojo were doing. Ugh... Hojo... he... erk... well, he's Hojo... and Reno... *cough* yeah, he was there too... ah-heh... too bad no one listened to me the entire time! I mean, I am the president! I am the superior one of the whole group! Yet all I get is the saddest bunch of all the people at Shinra... *sniff* I wish Tseng were here...

Hojo
By Makkura

General: YESSS this was a good costume! I love it! I love being a mad scientist and it was really really easy. Humm nope I didn't actually have to even make a thing or mess with my hair NOTHING!! HAHA the wonders of modern science...oops *cough*

Lab Coat: ohhh the best part! I know why Rufus like all those pockets.. they com in handy when you have to transport …uh….. things…. But yeah I bought it at a uniform store.

Pants, shoes, shirt: the pants and shoes I got at the glorious low priced blessing that is the salvation army, source of many of my costuming needs. The shirt I wore was one that I had in my closet… I need a different one… one that's like uh solid and doesn't have stripes O.o but it worked since I kept the lab coat buttoned. Oh and the 'tie' I had was just an extra scrap of black cloth around my neck, provided by Prezie Ruffie's mommy. Ive since gotten a new shirt and tie from... take a guess... Salvation Army!

Glasses: ok not really much of a point of interest except for... I FORGOT TO BRING THEM TO THE CON *dies* so once again Prezie Ruffie's mommy helped me out and let me barrow hers then my darling Scarlet offered me hers (so sweet)

Cookies: The crowning feature of the costume! We had 'sugar' and 'oatmeal' respectively... and in 'fun' greens, blues and purples, with... 'redhots'... no they weren't eyes... why would 'cookies' have eyes...?.................*grin*

Group: lazy bunch of idio-ermm its is always a pleasure to socialize with the company personnel. Ahh but sweet Scarlet is much more to my tastes. *shakes spray can* lets go.

Reno
By Kamui

General: *grin* This costume is fun... There's not much to say about the actual construction of the costume mainly because, well, there was nearly none! ^_- The suit top, pants, and dress shirt are my dad's. I used my fingerless Klarth gloves, the Ray-ban sunglasses I already owned, and my lovely Serge boots, and I was set as far as the outfit goes! And Reno is SUCH a butthole... I love him and his bishounen-ness! *L* My mom actually was rather impressed by how much I looked like a guy with the whole get-up. ^_^; I guess I'm just getting better at crossdressing...

Hair: The hair is by FAR the most complicated part of the whole costume!! Since I'm psychotic and don't really give a damn about my hair, to spike the hair I had to hack away at the top of my hair. I cut a lot of hair up there to make it short and spikable... the rest I pulled back into a ponytail. I had purchased a thing of red hair extensions prior to the convention, so I cut off a length of hair and tied it over my short ponytail in the back. THEN I used this godly spiking hair glue/gel stuff to get the top of my hair spiked. Finally, as if my hair hadn't suffered enough, I sprayed it all over with this red hair color spray... with much assistance from Makkura/Hojo. I'm totally impressed with how my hair turned out... very Reno-ish! Except my hair was "toxic" for about an hour after preparation.. had to let the red hair color spray dry otherwise it'd get all over everything. ^_^; And yes, for many weeks after I cut my hair on the top, it still sticks up and does all these weird things when I wake up, so I have to gel and bobbypin it down. ^^;

Prop: I love this thing! (And so does Makkura/Hojo.. stop stealing it! *growl*) It's basically the lovely nightstick you always see Reno using in the game. I cut two pieces, one shorter than the other, out of a wooden pole handle thing and screwed them together at the right place. Then I had fun spray painting the handle part black and the end part silver. After that, I had a nifty electric nightstick! Which ended up being peace-bonded. ^_^;

Group: We all looked freakin' awesome. Rufus is... *cough* well, Rufus... (don't mind what we were doing on the table and in the sleeping bag ^_-). Hojo and Scarlett are... their usual freaky selves, and I got to work on the infamous Bastard Grin (tm). Well, it was fun being claimed by the Chibi Eudial, the Bishounen Trainer, and other such mayhem we caused as Shin-Ra. I think we looked absolutely wonderful though, and I think everyone liked their costumes very much!

Scarlett
By Gen-chan

General: Well, it’s skanky. That’s all I’ve got to say about it. Oh, and she slapped Tifa, so she’s cool.

Dress: So can we all say CHEAP? No, I’m not talking about the character... I’m talking about her outfit! So like I found this red dress at the goodwill store for $4 and brought it up to the register to find that it was 50% off! So like yeah, it was really only $2 (hm.. I guess that makes me a $2 ho...)! So I tore off the turtleneck and sleeves and cut it up a bit. Then I was introduced to the magic of HEAT N’ BOND! Or whatever it’s called. Anyway, so like yeah. That was the dress. I kinda didn’t like it because the bottom hem of the dress stops like 4 inches about my ankles which I thought was incredibly ugly, but for $2, what did you expect?

Hair: For the hair, I got some blonde hair spray which was cool because it made me blonde! As anyone with dark hair knows, a lot of colored sprays don’t really show up on dark hair... but this stuff did! I dunno what it was called though.. but there was a very 80’s looking woman on the can. Whatever. It was cool.

Everything Else: I just bought some tall red shoes at Ross for like $10. They hurt like all get out at the con, but for some reason, at CONdensed milk, they weren’t bothering me at all. For the earrings, I used little wooden shapes from Michael’s and spray painted them red with a coat of clear nail polish on top to make them kinda shiny. Then clip on backs were hot-glued on and that was that. The necklace was made for me by ten ken so you’ll have to ask her about that. Hmm.. what else.. oh! I made a quick trip to Frederick’s of Hollywood for a garter belt and stockings.. and that was that! My costume! Added some gaudy rings and bright red lipstick and nail polish and blue eyeshadow... and Scarlett was ready for some cleavage showing fun!

Group: I just LOVED this group... well... not really.. just Hojo.. and his special cookies... mm baby... so big and hard... SPRAY ME, NOW!!! But if you think that’s bad, you don’t even WANT to know what was going on with Rufus and Reno and that strobe light..............
