General: This was my very first costume I made for a convention. I like
how it turned out. The only problem was that my hat didn't want to stay
on, my shoes hurt my feet, and my head-piece was a pain. I still love
it though. The cape flowed really nicely, and I looked nice in it. One
thing that will always remain true: pick characters you at least
somewhat resemble, it makes it a lot easier.Tail: My very favorite part of my costume is my tail. I made it by with this really soft, squishy, plushy fabric that I attached to the bottom of one of my old swimsuits. It didn't take long to get used to sitting with my tail, and I tried to get it in every shot.
Hat/Head-Piece: Hats are one of the hardest parts about costumes, and mine kept wanting to fall off. I practically had to staple the thing to my head. The head-piece was made with ribbon, styrofoam balls, and my old Sailormoon chopsticks. The only problem with the head-piece was that the styrofoam balls kept falling off, and I had to hot glue the darn things a lot. Oh well, for a first costume, it was really nice!
Cape: Not much to say except I tried to make it as accurate as possible, blue ribbon and all, and used clips so I could take the front piece off. It was made out of a heavy crepe, which draped nicely, but I was roasting in.
Shoes: High heels kill! I like the shoes, they were the closest thing I could find for Fillia, but the heels were a nightmare! I had to run around AX in four inch tall white boots. Taking them off was quite a relief.
